Refund & Cancellation Policy

We aim to deliver every order according to your instructions and within the timeframe we agree. This policy explains when an order can be cancelled, when a refund may be considered, and how requests are reviewed.

Last updated 11 August 2026

What we commit to

Every engagement starts with a scope and a deadline confirmed in writing. From there, we commit to:

  • Working to the brief we agreed, using the materials you provide.
  • Delivering within the agreed timeframe.
  • Including the revision rounds set out in your plan.
  • Telling you promptly if anything is outstanding from your side.

Delivery timelines begin once we have received all the inputs we need from you. Delays in providing materials extend the schedule accordingly.

Refunds

Payments for our services are generally non-refundable once work has started, because reviewer time is committed to your file from that point.

A full or partial refund may be considered where:

  • We fail to deliver the service within the agreed deadline for reasons within our control; or
  • A skills assessment is rejected because of an error on our part.

Refunds are not available for outcomes outside our control, including:

  • The decision of an assessing authority, which is theirs alone to make.
  • Information that was incomplete, inaccurate, or provided late.
  • A change in your circumstances, plans, or nominated occupation.
  • A change of mind after work has begun.

Where a refund is agreed, it is processed to the original payment method. We do not guarantee assessment outcomes — see our FAQs for how we describe this.

Cancelling an order

An order can be cancelled only while it is still in the initial processing stage — that is, before it has been registered and before work has begun.

Once the order has been registered or work has started, it can no longer be cancelled.

If your circumstances change mid-engagement, contact us before requesting a cancellation. In many cases we can pause the work and agree a revised schedule instead.

How to make a request

Email mail@cdrwritersforaustralia.com with:

  • Your name and the service you ordered.
  • What went wrong, with dates.
  • Any supporting detail, such as correspondence from the assessing authority.

We acknowledge every request within 1–2 business days. Where the concern is about quality, we will usually offer to resolve it through the revision process first, since that is the fastest route to a document you can submit.

All refund and cancellation requests are reviewed by CDR Writers for Australia, and the final decision rests solely with the company.

Related payment terms

  • A partial deposit is required to begin work; the balance is due before final delivery.
  • Payments are accepted by bank transfer, PayPal, or credit card.
  • All prices are in AUD unless stated otherwise.

Our Pricing page lists what is included in each plan, and our Terms of Service cover the wider terms of the engagement.
